orientation, day 3

much better. no boring talking. just an awkward turtle lunch. it's pretty awkward when socially awkward potato is keeping the conversation going on her end of the table. then a depressing visit to one firm. then another visit to another, more inspiring and fun firm.

cool plates. buy some. other cities are available.
meh, i know. too expensive.

sorry, the pink on pink ID isn't ready yet. when i told some of my new "friends"about my debacle, they all groaned and laughed at me. then i laughed that they also had day-glo pink backgrounds in their IDs as well, whether male or female. they stopped laughing. especially the boys.

lastly, the reception wasn't too shabby. decent cheese plate. horrible potstickers. pesto provided as dipping sauce for the dumplings (REALLY???). some really-good-for-its-price wine. heineken. bruschetta. and your mattress is FREEEEEEE! the only problem is, i bonded with a BUNCH of people that are in a completely different program. sigh. i need to make friendos in my own program.

  1. Is it too late for me to magically acquire a bunch of skills and knowledge and to apply? We could be school BFFs. I miss school.

  5. I've seen those plates before, they are way too expensive, but they are rad! I'm glad you bonded with some friends, even though they are in a different program, at least there's hope to bond :)

  6. I'm sad that your new "friends" don't appreciate the day glo humor.

  7. I agree that having friends outside of your program is a good thing. Sometimes you just need to completely unwind. Having friends not in the same exact situation, but get it nonetheless, is a great outlet.

  8. You can complain about your friends in your program with friends outside of your program. Perfect!

  11. Make friends all over the place. Maybe you'll get voted "Most Friendly" at the end of the year. ;)
