frozen potato popsicle

i'm about to send this to building management. it's freakin' 62 degrees in my office as i type this. i am getting my work done as i always do but at a glacial pace. i have two thermostats in our enclosed space--neither of which control anything. however, they do inform me of the lovely temperature. the corridor is noticeably warmer than the office.

i know, i have temperature issues. whatever, studies show it does have that much of an effect on me. and my productivity. so there. if i get sick from having to go between the hot outside and freezing inside and can't work, it's all their fault.

  1. boo, the link doesn't work;(

I feel your pain - I would always get sick at the beginning of the school year due to going from extreme heat to extreme cold. figure it out already!

  3. Clearly you need a wool poncho from Ecuador.

That's what I use to solve my icy office problems. :P

  4. Yeah, you definitely need some sort of heavy blanket or personal fan available. For sure it's their fault if you get sick :) Hopefully you don't though!

  6. Get a space heater for your office. Mine saves me on a regular basis.

  7. so we have a space heater, but the building has outlawed them saying they will heavily fine us if we use it (they use a lot of energy and can cause short circuits). and they really do have a building engineer who is monitoring the systems but apparently not how freezing it is. :P

i think i will have to look into winter gear and ponchos.

  8. so we have a space heater, but the building outlawed them (they can overload electrical systems or something) and will heavily fine us if they catch us using one. the janitorial staff has been asked to keep an eye out, and the cleaning lady tsk tsk'ed us last time she walked in on us using one but didn't tattle. i don't think. and they do have a building engineer monitoring systems at all times, albeit not how freezing it is.

i will be looking into the winter outfits and ponchos, perhaps.

  12. Well, you know what worked for me? Getting knocked up. I'm rarely ever cold in my office anymore thanks to pregnancy hormones. ;)

  13. You know, someone tried to tell me that people work better/faster when it's cold. I scoffed at this and told them it just makes me want to curl up and not do anything when it's cold. Thanks to your article sharing, I win!

  14. Summer school is also freezing... but a couple of summers ago, the school that hosted didnt have air in all the classrooms. My room was hell. Literally. So.freakin.hot. I would much rather freeze now than be back in hell with a bunch of teenagers. Of course, I am up walking around a lot, so that helps to keep me warm. :-)
