it's the little things

.an evening nap.
.waking up to the sound of my husband's [it still makes me a little giddy to say that] voice.
.chicken tikka masala for dinner.in less than 20 minutes.
.some of mother bear's famous fish laab (larb?).so.freakin.delicious.so earthy, aromatic, and delicious to accompany our tikka masala.nope, we're not afraid of strong smells and flavors, if you couldn't tell.
.the fact that for the first time in my life, i actually remembered to put the chicken in the fridge to defrost the night before.
.sweet bear kisses.*
.a delicious chardonnay, shared with the bear.
.kelly sweet - raincoat, as i finish my wine and put off finishing my english thank you cards a bit longer.
.reading this, via adventures in randomness.it's making me a bit teary-eyed and reminding me to think about my own dad.i can't believe it's been 18 years minus a week.he was the best.
.all of the above, for a delightful friday night.gosh, i'm old.

*i used to be vehemently anti-advertising. as in advertising about your relationship so it makes you all giddy as you write it but makes everyone else puke as they read it. now, i say eff it! i'm married. i'll advertise all i want!*

  1. I remember what it was like when I first got married and woke up to see my husband lying next to me. It was a great feeling.

  3. i still love calling the hub "my husband".

i still get a little woogly when i see my name joined with his last name.

i still think of how cool it is to see him wearing a wedding ring i put on his finger.

and, i still love waking up next to him every morning.
